SAP ERROR ” Material control record missing in company code XXXX”

This Error generally occurs

1.when there is no control record maintained for the material in requested company code.

2. While you are trying to upload intial stock entry in sap by using t code MB1C

To Resolve the Error please follow below steps:

1.Go to transaction MM03 to display the material master data for the affected material.

2.In the ‘Material’ view, go to the ‘Accounting 1’ tab and check if the ‘Valuation area’ is set to the company code XXXX.

3.If the valuation area is set to XXXX, then go to the ‘Accounting 2’ tab and check if the ‘Price control’ is set to ‘S’.

4.If the price control is set to ‘S’, then go to the ‘Control data’ tab and maintain a new control record for the material in the company code XXXX.

5.To create a new control record, select the ‘Create control’ button and enter the details such as price control, costing method, and valuation class.

Once all the required information is entered, save the control record and exit.
